Road to Oscars

This will be my Oscars award for the movie industry in 2009. I'll be just listing movies in each category which I feel deserves to win awards for its awesomeness. I cant really compare movies which are nominated for this years Oscars cause many of those movies did not arrive here. Aigh.

So here is my list, winners are in bold

Worst Actor:
~ Robert Pattinson (New Moon)  - Both are 'winners'. Haha.
~ Taylor Lautner (New Moon)

Worst Actress:
~ Zooey Deschanel (500 Days of Summer)  - She's pretty but, she can't act.. I know im gonna get booed for this
~ Kristen Stewart (New Moon)  - No expression. Stoned

Worst Animated Film:
~ Coraline  - I felt it was boring. Nothing like The Nightmare Before Christmas
~ G-Force  - Cant believe I saw this in 3D.

Worst Movie:
~ New Moon
~ Terminator Salvation  - All explosion, no story
~ 2012  - All CGI, no plot and story. Dint really feel like end of the world. Expect much more.
~ Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li  - Sorry Kristin Kreuk =(
~ Dragonball Evolution  - An example of how to make fans commit suicide
~ X-Men Origins: Wolverine  - Very bad CGI
~ Inglorious Basterds  - All talk. Basterds had very little screen time
~ Public Enemies  - Too boring

Best Animated Feature Film:
~ Up  - Was the best, until I saw Cloudy. Hehe
~ Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs  - I really love this movie. Funny from start to finish
~ The Princess and the Frog

Best Special Effects;
~ 2012
~ Knowing   - Really nice plane crash scene taken in 1 shot
~ Transformers 2  - Sorry Optimus
~ Avatar  - Totally out of this world. All hail Weta Digital

Best Comedy:
~ 500 Days of Summer
~ The Hangover   - Surprise hit of the year
~ Paul Blart: Mall Cop
~ I Love You, Man  - Anything with Jason Segal and Paul Rudd is gotta be funny

Best Horror Movie:
~ Drag Me To Hell    - Sam Raimi in his usual element
~ Orphan
~ The 4th Kind   - The 'real' footages were damn scary
~ Paranormal Activity   - Watch this at night and don't bother trying to sleep :P

Best Villian:
~ Kanye West  - I'mma let you finish, but Avatar is one of the best movies of all time. Of All Time!
~ Lorna Raver  - Old women in Drag Me to Hell
~ John Travolta  - The Taking of Pelham 123

Best Actress:
~ Zoe Saldana (Avatar)
~ Rachel McAdams ( The Time Travellers Wife)   I ♥ U

So there you have it. My personal list of best and worst movies of 2009. These are just movies which I liked in 2009. How bout you guys? What movie do you think should have been mentioned?

1st Perodua

Few days ago I came across the 1st ever Perodua car in Malaysia. Our very 1st washing machine Kancil. I know its not like a Ferrari or Lamborghini, but its still an honor to see it. The car is in really good shape and well maintained by the owner.

On another note, I was going back from work one fine day. I would take the screwed up KTM back home. Not only the journey is tiring, its just jam packed with people and its never on time. So while innocently standing and waiting for to reach my destination, I got an F U from this passenger. I was like WTF??

Actually she was sleeping. Haha.. (sorry aunty =P)

Going Gaga?

What does it takes to become famous in the music industry these day? Apparently, all you gotta do is show as much skin as humanly possible (which I'm not complaining), dance suggestively in your music videos (which I'm not complaining) and dont ever go by your real name.. And who am I talking about???

Yea, thats how she eats before she performs.. haha

I'm not sure if she is even human. She could be a malfunctioned avatar dumped by the Na'vi because she just lacks a brain. That would actually explain her totally random fashion sense and totally random dance moves. Nothing about her makes sense. She is currently one of the famous female singers in the industry, and many people dont even know her real name. And no, her parents dint name her Lady Gaga at birth..


I still have no idea why is she so famous.. There is nothing special bout her vocals. Its just so normal. Her songs are catchy though. But just give those songs to any upcoming new singer, and I'm sure she would also be famous. So why the hype about Gaga? And one of her song's chorus even sounds like this ~ 'Rah rah ah ah ah, Roma, Roma ma ma, Ga ga ooh la la, Bodoh romance.'  Ahaha.. Even a new born baby could sing it.

I'm sure by now, most of you would have already seen Avatar, so doing a review would be totally pointless. But since this is like one of THE BEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME, I had to post something about it. I actually knew bout this movie bout 2 years ago, but nothing much was known bout it. Just that James Cameron was working on something which was totally new.

Totally out of this world / 5..

Haha, thats a 1st time I'm giving such a rating. It was that damn good, and it has to be watched in 3D. Its a sin to watch it in 2D, even if you watch it in cinema, its still a sin. God shall not forgive you. Haha. Trust me, you wont regret it watching it in 3D. Totally breath taking scenery, mind blasting mind blowing action scenes, and you actually feel like you're in Pandora. When ever they show the puny humans, I was like 'get it over with, and get back to the alien world' Haha.

After seeing it, I was feeling that this was the best movie I have ever seen in my entire life (previously the best was LOTR3). So to be sure of that, I went back home and saw LOTR: Return of the King extended version. And my conclusion, LOTR3 is still my number 1 movie. Avatar a definitely close 2nd. LOTR3 is my no.1 mainly cause you grow with the characters from the first 2 movies, and its totally an epic story. Anyway, Avatar was still awesome.

And when a movie as big as Avatar opens worldwide, no other movie would wanna open on the same day. But there was 1 movie that was brave enough to do it. The legendary movie which I am talking about is:

What were they thinking? Seriously. I can go on and on, and on... and on and on and on and... hmm *wait for it* on, bout the tamil movie industry, but I shall keep it down for now. Haha

Merry Christmas

Its that time of the year again. Time to celebrate Christmas and enjoy the holidays and the next thing we know, its a new year. 2009 is nearing its end and 2010 is upon us. And soon.. 2012.. woohoo.. Cant wait XD.

Overall 2009 has been an awesome year for me. Many memorable things happened which I am grateful of. So I'm gonna miss my 2009. Hope 2010 will top it.. Hehe. And I would also like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Do go out and enjoy the holidays. And be prepared to face the massive jam everywhere. Haha..

Well I'll be back next week with the long delayed Avatar review and my other nonsense. Ohya, I saw Sherlock Holmes already and its just ok. Rate it 3/5. It just seemed to lack a proper plot. But Robert Downey was awesome as always, but Rachel McAdams had soooo soooo soooooooo little screen time. Damn. Other than that, its still better to save that money and go watch Avatar in 3D. =)
