Hibernation

Hey guys, I have got some not so good news. I have decided.....
to....
quit blogging...
.....
lol, Nola , just joking. But I shall be taking a break for a while. I wont be updating like I used to for the past few months. This is mainly because of work. Dont really have much time in the weekdays now. I would not want this blog to go into eternal hibernation like my previous attempt. Haha.

So if I do come across any wacky and stupid and weird and outrageous stuff, I will put it up here. As for now, I shall sneak away quietly... I'll Be Back (*Terminator theme*)

Valentine's CNY

This year Chinese New Year and Valentines day fell on the same day. It can be a pain in a way, cause people are torn to either go for a romantic dinner or go cny visiting.. Date or Ang Pow? Date or Ang Pow? Hmm hard to choose between those two. Ahaha..

And about a month before Valentines day, there was this online invitation by dunno who, asking all the girls to not wear their undies to show their love towards their bf. And obviously, the 'religious' people here found something to pick on. Although Im not supporting this stupid request, but its just damn funny to see how far these people would go to make sure the young girls do not follow this request. They even planned to have a crackdown at night during Valentines day to make sure this doesn't happen.

But how are they going to have a crackdown? How are they gonna know which girl is wearing and which is not? Here is just something which might have happened..

Officer sees couple sitting under a tree holding hands.
Officer: Oi, apa you dua buat kat sini malam malam buta?
Boy: Takde ape ape. Cakap-cakap saje..
Officer: Oi, perempuan. You pakai seluar dalam ah?
Girl: WTF ???!!

Ahaha, well hope you couples had a good time together. If you are still single, hope you had an AWESOME time. Hehe. And happy CNY and enjoy the holidays to those celebrating..

Malam Irama Penyayang

Last Sunday (7/2/2010), I attended Malam Irama Penyayang (MIP) at UKM. Its a charity concert organised by NT Indians students to help 1 and a half year old Satish Kumar who is suffering from kidney failure. The concert featured performance by the talented students themselves and local artist which were K.K. Khanna and Chakra Sonic. The concert was a success cause they managed to donate RM 25,000 to Satish Kumar for him to undergo treatment. I managed to record some of the performance and uploaded it to Youtube. You can also view it below but please excuse the 'pirate' version of the videos, its because I recorded it from the audience. Hehe..

Well that's all I managed to record before my 4GB memory went kaput. All I can say to my UKM juniors and batch mates who were involved in this program is that all your hard work has paid off with a very successful event. Proud that you guys have come up with a huge annual event and make sure MIP 2011 even bigger. All the best.

PS - For MIP 2011, please allocate budget for extra memory card or a new video camera for yours truly. xP

Turtles Forever

Lately I just got in touch with something I used to watch a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. I grew up watching a lot of 80's and 90's cartoon such as Thundercats, Transformers, Speed Racer and Ghostbusters. I dont think kids these days have cartoons as memorable as last time. Now there are SpongeBob and Ben10 which will become legendary status when kids these days turn adult. Hehe. Well this post is about:

I came across this special 25th anniversary Turtles special on Youtube called Turtles Forever. It had the original Turtles come into the world of the new Turtles to kick some Shredder butt And even the animation was done accordingly. The original turtles looked like how cartoons were in the 80's. With a really nice storyline and a lot of funny moments, I thought of sharing this link with all you guys. Fans of the Turtles will absolutely love it, and for the non fans, its worth a watch for relaxing your mind a bit. Hehe. The link below is for part 1, so just continue until part 9. Glory Glory Man United

If you're a fan of something, I'm sure you will do anything to show your support. You would buy their merchandise, put up posters on your wall and stuff like that. But will you go as far as buying this..

Haha, I just dont see any MU fans who want to wear their favorite team around their little brother. Ahaha..I think this is meant for the non-fans. I'm definitely getting one of those. LOL..

Road to Oscars

This will be my Oscars award for the movie industry in 2009. I'll be just listing movies in each category which I feel deserves to win awards for its awesomeness. I cant really compare movies which are nominated for this years Oscars cause many of those movies did not arrive here. Aigh.

So here is my list, winners are in bold

Worst Actor:
~ Robert Pattinson (New Moon)  - Both are 'winners'. Haha.
~ Taylor Lautner (New Moon)

Worst Actress:
~ Zooey Deschanel (500 Days of Summer)  - She's pretty but, she can't act.. I know im gonna get booed for this
~ Kristen Stewart (New Moon)  - No expression. Stoned

Worst Animated Film:
~ Coraline  - I felt it was boring. Nothing like The Nightmare Before Christmas
~ G-Force  - Cant believe I saw this in 3D.

Worst Movie:
~ New Moon
~ Terminator Salvation  - All explosion, no story
~ 2012  - All CGI, no plot and story. Dint really feel like end of the world. Expect much more.
~ Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li  - Sorry Kristin Kreuk =(
~ Dragonball Evolution  - An example of how to make fans commit suicide
~ X-Men Origins: Wolverine  - Very bad CGI
~ Inglorious Basterds  - All talk. Basterds had very little screen time
~ Public Enemies  - Too boring

Best Animated Feature Film:
~ Up  - Was the best, until I saw Cloudy. Hehe
~ Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs  - I really love this movie. Funny from start to finish
~ The Princess and the Frog

Best Special Effects;

~ Knowing   - Really nice plane crash scene taken in 1 shot
~ Transformers 2  - Sorry Optimus
~ Avatar  - Totally out of this world. All hail Weta Digital

Best Comedy:
~ 500 Days of Summer
~ The Hangover   - Surprise hit of the year
~ Paul Blart: Mall Cop
~ I Love You, Man  - Anything with Jason Segal and Paul Rudd is gotta be funny

Best Horror Movie:
~ Drag Me To Hell    - Sam Raimi in his usual element
~ Orphan
~ The 4th Kind   - The 'real' footages were damn scary
~ Paranormal Activity   - Watch this at night and don't bother trying to sleep :P

Best Villian:
~ Kanye West  - I'mma let you finish, but Avatar is one of the best movies of all time. Of All Time!
~ Lorna Raver  - Old women in Drag Me to Hell

1st Perodua

Few days ago I came across the 1st ever Perodua car in Malaysia. Our very 1st washing machine Kancil. I know its not like a Ferrari or Lamborghini, but its still an honor to see it. The car is in really good shape and well maintained by the owner.

On another note, I was going back from work one fine day. I would take the screwed up KTM back home. Not only the journey is tiring, its just jam packed with people and its never on time. So while innocently standing and waiting for to reach my destination, I got an F U from this passenger. I was like WTF??

Actually she was sleeping. Haha.. (sorry aunty =P)
